Born and raised on Long Island, NY, David V. Mammina has striven to make a name for himself.  He went to Lindenhurst Schools and graduated in 2000.  He then made his way to Nassau Community College and received his first degree.  He then attended Stony brook and acquired his next degree in History.  Finally, David got his Masters in Special Education and Social Studies.
   He published his first book, The Angels of Resistance in 2005 and then wrote the sequel, The Angels of Resistance Part II in 2006.  He finalized his third book, Protector of Children: Assassin's Dreams in 2008, which takes place wholly on Long Island.

   He works in Queens now as a Social Studies teacher in Glen Oaks.  Recently, he has published his latest novel, Paltronis, his first fairy tale with illustrations.
   David is very family oriented as he attributes most of his success to them.  (He is with his mother there on the right)
